Day 3 - Testing The Patient's Patience

Now we wait.

Biopsies are off to pathology and now we play the waiting game. This will at least let us know if there is any cancer in his bone marrow and confirm the suspicion of neuroblastoma. A mostly uneventful day for Declan… aside from him partially removing his NG tube and needing it re-inserted and X-rayed to confirm its placement. He has started steroids and blood pressure medicine. 

The steroids are to help relieve some of the pressure from the spine, and hopefully regain some mobility in his legs, and the blood pressure medicine will hopefully lower his chronically high blood pressure.
