Day 6 - News Day

This just in...

Doctors informed us that there was no Neuroblastoma found in his bone marrow, and that pathology looked “favorable” placing us more into the intermediate risk category. 

Very happy news indeed in terms of prognosis for little Declan. 

Some pause was needed, however, as we started to notice a bit of his bowel (filled with gas) being pushed out towards his side and causing a lot of discomfort to Declan when he cries hard. From the tumor, it looks like his liver has been pushed down and had just awkwardly pushed things around in his abdomen. 

The sooner this tumor is treated, hopefully the sooner little Declan will start feeling better. 

Another X-ray was ordered to make sure nothing funky was happening with his liver/bowels that we couldn’t see. Just hang in there little guy. 

One awesome milestone we hit today was he took a whole 5 oz bottle by mouth! 

Promising times are ahead for this little guy and his eating habits. He was so confident in his abilities that he yanked out his NG tube again… 

*sigh*
